NAM 9000 loads any Neural Amp Modeler capture, A1 or A2, as a VST3 or AU plugin or as a standalone app. Load a .nam file and play. Then, if you want, add pedals, a cab, effects and a second capture around it.
The short answer
Every standard .nam file loads, wherever it came from: TONE3000, a pack you bought, a friend's capture or one you trained yourself.
A1 captures (WaveNet and LSTM, any size) and A2 slimmable captures. Every capture slot has its own file picker, so you can load straight from disk.
An A2 file carries a full-quality model and a lighter one. The FULL / LITE switch in the top bar swaps between them while you play, without dropouts. Use LITE when a big session needs the CPU.
Models run at their native 48 kHz. Other session rates go through a high-quality resampler. At 48 kHz there is no resampling and no added latency.
Captures carry a gear type. An amp+cab capture switches the built-in cab off; an amp-only capture turns it back on, so you never stack two cabinets by accident.
TONE3000, inside the player
Search the TONE3000 community library from inside the plugin, filter by gear type and by architecture (A1 / A2), and download straight into the right slot: pedals to the pedal slot, amps to the amp. Sign in once with your free TONE3000 account.
More than a loader
A basic NAM player loads one model and an impulse response. NAM 9000 does that, then gives you the rest of the rig, free:

Questions
Yes. It loads any standard .nam file: the original A1 models (WaveNet, LSTM) and the A2 architecture. For A2 slimmable files, the FULL / LITE switch in the top bar picks the full-quality or the lighter, lower-CPU version live, without dropouts.
Yes. The player, the full rig, the capture studio and the TONE3000 browser are free, with no account and no time limit. Amp packs and the Pro upgrade are optional, and the free app keeps everything it has.
A2 is the second generation of the Neural Amp Modeler model architecture. A2 captures are slimmable: one .nam file holds a full-quality model and a lighter, lower-CPU one. A player has to support A2 to load these files; NAM 9000 loads both A1 and A2.
Yes. It is a VST3 plugin on Windows and macOS, an AU plugin for Logic and GarageBand on macOS, and a standalone app on both, with its own audio settings.
Yes. The built-in capture studio plays the standard NAM sweep through your amp or pedal, records it and trains an A2 .nam on your NVIDIA GPU on Windows. On a Mac, or without an NVIDIA card, it exports the recording for free online training at TONE3000. Either way you get a standard .nam file that plays in any NAM player.
No. NAM 9000 is an independent plugin built on the open-source NeuralAmpModelerCore (MIT) by Steven Atkinson. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Neural Amp Modeler project or TONE3000. The files are standard .nam, so what you download or make plays in any NAM player.
